Go to the AppSumo Partners Page, add your details and click “Start selling”
2 Add Product
You should be redirected to the Partner Portal Products page where you can click on “+ List new product”
3 Add Product Details
Next, add the name of your product, the product page for your Notion template (or your own website if you don’t currently have a product listing), your support email and the categories where you want to list your template. We’re hoping they add a Template section soon but you’ll most likely add to the Content, Marketing, Productivity, Sales or Client Management categories as well as any specialist areas like SEO that apply.
4 Add Images
Next step is adding images. The minimum requirement is for a cover image (JPG and PNG only. Minimum 1280x720px resolution (16:9 ratio), no larger than 5MB). You can create this in Canva to speed things up.
5 Add Product Description
Now we’re on to adding Product Copy aka the description of your product. You’ve got 1,000 characters to tell people about what your template is, what problem is solves and a brief description of the post-purchase process (download pdf, click on link to Notion template, duplicate template to their own Notion account. Also mention that whether a free or paid Notion account is necessary).
6 Add Pricing & Key Features
Next we’re adding the price for your product, taking into account the net amount you’ll be paid after AppSumo transaction fees (you’ll get 95% of the sale amount for new customers to AppSumo or 70% of the sale amount for returning customers). You can also show an original sale price amount to highlight the deal you’re offering to Sumolings. On this page you’ll also add the key features of your product (handy for if your product description is over 1,000 characters and you want to add the extra content here).
7 File Download Options
Final step is adding the way that people will redeem your offer aka how they will get delivery of your Notion template. You don’t have the option to link out to the Notion template but you can select the “Direct download” option and upload a pdf. You can create this pdf in Canva as an image with the Notion link in the middle of the screen and some instructions on how to visit the link and select Duplicate to add to their own Notion account. Ensure you highlight your Notion link in Canva and add a hyperlink before exporting in pdf format.
8 All done!
Your product is now in the Pending review queue and you’ll get emailed when it is approved. Happy selling!
