About Planners

A daily planner is a notebook, binder, software program, personal information manager (PIM) or Outlook Calendar that individuals use to organize and plan their day. A weekly planner provides the same function but at a larger scale and covers one week instead of just one day. A monthly planner is similar to a weekly planner in that it focuses on one month, but due to the longer period of time it covers, it usually focuses on events that take place across multiple days.

Daily planners are more popular than ever before as individuals become more and more reliant upon electronic devices such as smartphones and laptops. However, daily planners can also be a useful tool for those who regularly work with pen and paper, as they allow people to prioritize their tasks and visually see the number of times a task has been completed.

There are many benefits to using a planner. A daily planner helps you prioritize your life, giving you an overview of what needs to be done on a day-to-day basis. Weekly and monthly planners allow people to plan ahead for large-scale events such as vacations or holidays. A planner gives you a visual map of what needs to be done and when it needs to be done by, allowing you to more easily handle multiple tasks without missing deadlines.

Planning ahead also allows you to schedule time for things that are important, but not so urgent. The downside to being able to schedule time for something is that it can become easy to neglect your other tasks in favor of what you’ve scheduled. It’s a good idea to limit how much you schedule and focus on doing what needs to be done instead—and always leave room for unforeseen circumstances!
